We love this time of year – the weather is nice, the sun is shining (well, sometimes!) and people are in high spirits. We managed to get the daunting Spring Clean out of the way. However, whilst we are in maintenance mode, it’s great to start preparing for those colder days to come. Everyone dreads that time of year, but you can lighten the load, by getting some jobs out of the way for an easier Winter period.

Get the garden ready

No one likes a jungle growing in the backyard, so tidy up your garden before the chills come around. Once the flowers have bloomed and begin to drop, cut back the stems to neaten the garden. Compost the dead plants and leaves to create organic soil bursting with nutrients for the following spring months. (more…)
